Ready for more fun things?
- Join a dance group or enroll in a dance class at a community center or professional dance instruction business. Ladies, many men like dancing with their wives once you get them to the edge of the dance floor. Dancing encourages leadership and teamwork development in a husband.
- Go to a symphony, outdoor amphitheater concert…somewhere musical where there is an intermission with friends. This is a great couple or foursome event idea. Wives, if you insist on going to the opera, tell the men to leave their sound devices at home and try to experience the live music.
- Go on a cruise. If you have kids, Disney Cruise Line is great. Depending on your budget, you can go from three nights to two weeks and come back home rejuvenated. My experience has been that adults go into “email withdrawal” about the third or fourth day away from the computer. Don’t fret if you go to island hopping anywhere in the world because every major island has an Internet Café where you can do everything on the Internet that you can do from your home base for a small fee.
- Many restaurants will give a patron celebrating their birthday or anniversary a free dessert. My wife and I have a list of seven area restaurants that have great desserts that we split on such occasions. It’s fun to eat at one of these restaurants for lunch and another one for dinner.
- Vacation with imagination. Go to a nice hotel restaurant for a two-hour relaxing meal – then return to reality by going home.
